<p>The Spokane Transit Authority (STA) #60 bus route provides service from Spokane International to the Transportation Plaza located in downtown Spokane. Cost is $1.50 each way. <a href="http://www.spokanetransit.com/routes-schedules/route/60-airport-brownes-addition-copy" title="Number 60 Bus"><u><strong><font color="00007e">Click here</font></u></strong></a> for route information for the Number 60 bus. The bus runs every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends.</p>
<p>Spokane Cab (509-568-8000) also provides 24-hour taxi dispatch service for the airport.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 2013 PNREC conference is less than two weeks away!  The organizers have put together an outstanding program with several prominent plenary speakers and 15 breakout sessions on topics of interest to economists in the region.  On the morning of Friday May 17, there will also be a Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) simulation event for college students.  The FOMC simulation is managed by economists from the San Francisco Fed.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A number of prominent plenary speakers have been confirmed for the Spokane 2013 PNREC Conference.  These speakers include:</p>
<p><a class="linktxt" style="font-weight: bold; color: #00007e" href=" http://www.pnrec.org/meet-our-speakers-2/nigel-gault/ "><u>Nigel Gault</u></a> is Chief US Economist for IHS Global Insight and he will present the U.S. and international economic outlook at PNREC 2013. Dr. Gault possesses more than 25 years of experience in economic modeling, forecasting and analysis gained in the United States and Europe. </p>
<p><a class="linktxt" style="font-weight: bold; color: #00007e" href=" http://www.pnrec.org/meet-our-speakers-2/peter-hall-canadian-outlook-speaker/ "><u>Peter Hall </u></a>is Vice-President and Chief Economist for Export Development Canada (EDC), Canada’s export credit agency. In addition to advising senior management at EDC, Mr. Hall is a featured speaker at conferences across the country and internationally, and regularly appears in television, radio and print media commenting on recent economic developments and implications for the outlook.</p>
<p><a class="linktxt" style="font-weight: bold; color: #00007e" href=" http://www.pnrec.org/meet-our-speakers-2/joel-kotkin/ "><u>Joel Kotkin</u></a> is an internationally-recognized authority on global, economic, political and social trends. He is Distinguished Presidential Fellow in Urban Futures at Chapman University and was described by the New York Times as America’s “uber-geographer.” He currently writes the weekly “New Geographer” column for Forbes.com and is the author of <em>The Next Hundred Million: America In 2050</em>. </p>
<p><a class="linktxt" style="font-weight: bold; color: #00007e" href=" http://www.pnrec.org/meet-our-speakers-2/david-plane/ "><u>David Allen Plane</u></a> will present the annual Tiebout Lecture in honor of PNREC founder Charles Tiebout. He is Professor, Department of Geography &#038; Regional Development, University of Arizona and his research focuses on the dynamics of migration systems and methods for analyzing human population distribution and redistribution. </p>
<p><a class="linktxt" style="font-weight: bold; color: #00007e" href=" http://www.pnrec.org/meet-our-speakers-2/geoffrey-paulin/ "><u>Geoffrey Paulin</u></a> is a Senior Economist with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Consumer Expenditure Survey (CE) program, which produces the most detailed source of expenditures, income, demographics, and assets and liabilities collected from households by the Federal government.  His presentation will be &#8220;Introducing the Consumer Expenditure Survey: A Unique and Useful Tool for Analyzing Detailed Spending Patterns of U.S. Households&#8221;</p>
