What standards are CPE credits from PNREC designed to meet?

PNREC’s CPE program was constructed to meet the standards of Boards of Accountancy in Oregon and Washington, but may qualify for CPE credits for other professional associations. Although we strive to meet association standards for accepting CPE credits, we cannot guarantee that your association will accept these programs. The burden of proof lies with the person submitting CPE credits to their association.

How many CPE credits can I earn?

PNREC participants may earn 7 credits on Thursday, May 17, 2012 and 6 credits on Friday, May 18, 2012. Credits will be granted based on a 50-minute hour.

How do I sign up for CPE credits?

Individuals may request and pay for CPE credits as part of the online registration process. Those who are already registered for PNREC 2012 may contact the administrative office at (406)243-5113 to add CPE credits to their registration. Attendees may also sign up and pay for CPE credits at the registration table either day of the conference. Everyone who registers for CPE credits for PNREC will be assessed a $25 administrative fee.

How and when will I receive my credits?

CPE participants must:

1.	Sign themselves in at the PNREC registration table on each day of the conference for which they wish to receive CPE credit and,
2.	Complete a checklist of sessions attended to be turned in at the end of each day.

If necessary paperwork is completed and payment has been received, participants who earn CPE credit will receive a certificate of completion in the mail after the conference.

Can students sign up for CPE credits?

CPE credits are not convertible to satisfy course hours at a university, college, or high school. But a student who is also a CPA (or a member of some other professional association) and needs CPE credit may sign up for the program.
